Scott Hall

We are located in Scott Hall on the west side of Carnegie Mellon's Pittsburgh campus between Hamerschlag and Wean Halls. Scott Hall is the glass building tucked in the corner. Once you locate the building and enter from the campus green space, you are on the 5th floor – and the main location of the Scott Institute.

For the Bosch Spark or the Dighe Conference Rooms, 5201 and 5129 respectively, proceed to the opposite side of the building, wrapping around the staircases. The Bosch Spark Conference Room will be in front of you; Dighe is to the right, at the end of the hallway around the corner to the left. If you are lost, call 412.268.4111.

Parking

Garage

We recommend the East Campus Garage on Forbes Avenue, which has its own Google Map address. The outdoor walk along the campus green space to Scott Hall via the map below will take about 10 minutes. There is an inside path, but you will need a guide or kind student to show you the way. Make sure they don’t take you to Scaife Hall. Two words: bread crumbs.

On-street

The closest parking available (5-8 minute walk) is on-street parking (or Uber/Lyft drop off) on the lower part of Frew Street opposite Phipps Conservatory and Flagstaff Hill near the bend in the road. You will need to pay to park at the kiosk or use the handy Pittsburgh Parking Authority Go Mobile Pittsburgh app. You will be ticketed if you forget to pay. Walk directly through Porter Hall (in one door, long straight hallway, out the other side) to Hamerschlag Hall on your left, Wean Hall in front of you. Scott Hall is the gorgeous glass building on the left, tucked in the corner. This entrance is on the 5th floor.
