Hosted by the Scott Institute for Energy Innovation, Carnegie Mellon’s ninth Energy Week focused on AI and energy. The event engaged with figures from academia, industry, and government, and hosted opportunities for entrepreneurs and student researchers to take stock of the current landscape and theorize what’s next at the intersection of two crucial topics.

Distinguished Lecture: Lou Martinez Sancho

Lou Martinez Sancho is a global leader in research and development with over 20 years of experience in the energy, biotech, automotive, and AEC industries. She currently leads R&D and technology strategy and has held senior roles at Kairos Power, Spie Batignolles, and Framatome. Sancho holds a Ph.D. in Public Health, Environment, and Sustainability, multiple master’s degrees, and a Master Black Belt Lean Six Sigma certification.
